This one-of-a-kind bracelet is the result of a remarkable walk I took with my dogs on a lovely Autumn afternoon. We walk in a local cemetery that’s bordered by a thick forest with a man made pond, and on this particular day I noticed three large snapping turtles sunning themselves on a submerged dock. I never see wildlife in this pond and, as I was thinking what a treat it was to come upon these three turtles, a giant egret flew right over my head. It was as if Nature was just showing off her splendor. So, on a few subsequent walks I took special care to notice anything else that might be a gift I could reproduce in metal. I was especially aware of the crunching leaves beneath my feet and the tracks left by deer in the mud. The final gift was the cry from an owl during an evening walk. I rarely see the horned owls that live in this forest, but I often hear them in the evening and it is one of my favorite sounds. This bracelet tries to capture all the magic I can find as I amble along with my beloved pups if I just take a moment to notice. This bracelet was lovingly crafted in sterling silver with two leaves of brass and copper, and features an Autumnal agate and a toggle clasp with a tiny sterling dog collar with a teensy tag. The egret is represented both standing still and flying on a link that can be flipped to display whichever side you like. This special bracelet measures 7.5 inches on the inside (in other words, your wrist circumference needs to be 7 inches or smaller). My wrist is 6 inches and this fits me just fine.
