Inspired by one of my favorite Beatles songs, this piece features a small blackbird sculpted in sterling silver, perched in the quiet glow of a brass moon. Below, a gorgeous ceramic blackbird cabachon by Kristin Beaver Porcelain echoes the bird above with a vintage faceted jet bead swaying gently below. The 22 1/4 inch sterling chain is attached to a delicate twig cast in bronze.

There are a few interpretations of the song, but I always found such tenderness and hope in the lyrics - the idea that even in the darkest moments, there’s the possibility of lifting up and beginning again.

I wanted this piece to hold a little of that feeling: a quiet song in the night, and the promise of morning.
