I was wandering through my garden, noticing the flowers entering their last phase of bloom before fall arrives, and found myself wanting to hold onto that fleeting bit of summer—the riot of color, the abundance, and the beauty of flowers that won't be there much longer.
That feeling became this one-of-a-kind necklace: a joyful gathering of hand-fabricated and cast sterling silver flowers, colorful gemstones, and vintage pressed glass that bring together the rich, unexpected colors I was seeing in the garden.
It’s my way of capturing and preserving a little of the beauty of those last days of summer.
Materials: Sterling silver, chalcedony, amethyst, kyanite, carnelian, sapphire, vintage pressed glass
Size: 19 ¼ inches in length
Closure: hand forged shepherd’s hook
Handmade in my little studio in Illinois
